India is a country with the multiple cultures, climates and Industries. The ability of human to work in the agricultural land and the various industries depend upon the environmental climate what they face in the workstation.
In this scenario, a study on the occupational health and safety measures among the human resource working in various sectors becomes the need of the hour. Therefore this International conference on “Occupational Health and Safety Measures” will throw a light on various issues in maintaining a balanced environment in managing the best Occupational Health and Safety Measures in workstations among the Employer, Employee, Industry and all the stake holders.
The human resource is important for the economic development of nations and maintaining a high value human development index factor is the need of the hour. So, this conference will help the worker community in attaining a stress-free working environment and it will increase the research focused on OHAS at multiple disciplines and Sector (Private and Government).

About GRI
Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI), founded by two dedicated disciples and contemporaries of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr.G.Ramachandran and Dr.T.S.Soundaram Ramachandran, has as its foundation Mahatma Gandhi’s revolutionary philosophy of Nai Talim, which effectively bridges the cognitive and practical dimensions, and focuses on the holistic development of learners, with an emphasis on skill development through value-based education, rooted in indigenous cultures and traditions. Since its establishment in 1956, GRI has been unstintingly contributing to higher education and has successfully pioneered rural higher education.
About Home Science Department
The Department of Home Science under the school of Sciences has been in existence from the inception of the institute in 1956, offering a three year course on Diploma in Rural Services. Later it was replaced as B.Sc. Programme in Home Science in 1976 followed by M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programmes in Home Science.
